UTILIZATION
Simple configuration CF French manual mode style garden gnome Cad very clear.
Everything is very intuitive, except perhaps the Monitoring section.
SOUNDS
The console is pretty clear except as stated below the Aux send/returns, which often spit - see quality potentiometers ...
The equalizer is just enough in my opinion. Especially working in mid-bass and bass.
The semi-parametric medium goes from 250Hz - 6kHz which is too tight.
Anyway it sounds much better than a bunch of low end today's EQ's.
And I particularly like the sound of the low EQ, wich really gives more fullness and presence to bass.
OVERALL OPINION
Since 1994, home studio and now I work more as a pre-digital mixer.
Over time I had the opportunity to try Allen & Heath or Midas and I gladly trade it against an equivalent model of the marks.
Surely I would do this choice because at the time there were not so many brands on the market for small ergonomic consoles.
What I like most is his versatility (4 Subgroups, 8 aux sends and a lot of inserts), despite all of his EQ sound, and part of its manufacture.
What I like least the low end potentiometers (one of the Monitor Level has been changed by me) and undersized power supply to the power consumption of the console. (Transformer has been changed some months ago by me too)
Buy a console like that in good condition at less than 300 € today is interesting.
Buying it at 1000 € (new one's price in those days) is a gentle joke today.
