Hello

I have an old reel to reel tape recorder AKAI 4000DS MKII.
After many years, I would use it again with my children, but the sound-on-sound isn't working properly any more: I play the second voice (or instrument) over the first as described in the instruction, but wehn I hear the result, the 2 voices are not synchronous...What can the matter be?

if not, i imagine there should be an adjustment knob somewhere that aligns recording and playback. no?

i have the exact same problem! I hope this machine is capable of doing correct overdubs...
