SOUNDS

The warm, full of flange is linked to its SSM cirduits on VCO and VCF. SSM2030 VCO driftent flangent and more than a Rev 3 CEM3340-based circuits. In addition, the SSM has an octave higher than the CRB. The filter based SSM2040 also has a wider operating range than the filter based CEM3320. Especially in acute and open filter, the Rev2 is much more musical, soft and warm as Rev3 who becomes aggressive.

OVERALL OPINION

The Rev2 is a machine more difficult to maintain that the Rev3: it goes out of tune more easily and is often subject to risks of failure associated with its design. It contains a lot of trimmers for calibration, where the Rev. 3 is greater reliance on internal processor to calibrate automatically.

Technically, it is a little below the Rev3: need to install K7 interface for managing multiple sound banks, Kenton Midi interface option does not handle midi dumps (unlike the Midi interface for optional at SCI the Rev3), think to press Edit to change the preset sounds and to change the sounds.

Is the noise level that exceeds the undisputed Rev2 Rev3. I have 2 one above the other and there is no comparison.
