UTILIZATION

Whatever the bass used, there is always a good sound quickly, and you know adjust an amp, there is nothing to be ashamed to face much more expensive amp transistors.

SOUNDS

The amp is versatile, can be got out of the brutal death as jazz or pop without forcing. "Good overall, but excels nowhere".

Long used with a head LTD B-204, then with Ibanez BTB470 and 705DX. Used once with a low no-name has less than 100 EUR. Served as the only bass amp in a small festival. Everyone who has played on this amp have been satisfied, and even positively surprised!

Combined with an Ibanez PD-7 for "dirty" sound. It's not worth a real tube, but that's the case. Branch before the preamp effects loop or after the desired sound.

The buttons bass boost / treble boost, sculpt the sound rather violently, you should know what you do when they are used.

The EQ is effective, but the output is post-EQ DI, I quickly moved my way. Yet it is intuitive and effective ... damage.

The compressor is useful, but do not set it too high.

The gadget is completely Octaver:
- Without foot control, difficult to use.
- It takes the lower octave of the note ... it would have been wiser to do the opposite, to actually enjoy the entire range of the bass ...

OVERALL OPINION

Used since November 2008 with the MAG115 and MAG410 of the same brand, it helps me more than occasionally following the acquisition of a head-Traynor YBA200 II.

This is my first amp, I started on the old Laney of a friend, and I had to 300W 100W lamps to calm the two guitarists.

It can satisfy the beginner (easy, not too expensive) to semi-pro (a requirement to know the address). It grows naturally mediums, and offers everything a bassist needs, with the exception of two things:
- An input aux-in (for connecting an MP3)
- One headphone

It's still a great value for its price. an unavoidable choice.

So tube amp, 307 W RMS. It is of course transistor. We can go out jack to connect their HP. course is planned DI output ... Very convenient for the studio or on stage to be transplanted!
Settings: Equa comprehensive: Bass / Middle (with high and low mids !!!)/ trebble.
a compressor (I'll come back ...)
a sub harmonics: an unnecessary, so one octave, but really blah, blah ...

Gain entry, one output ...
a bright or deep deep bass.
This head is full and can connect two 8 ohm speakers in!

UTILIZATION

SETTING?? Simply connect, turn up the gain, volume .. And after setting the equation!
Manuel? What manual?
For sound: you have one you want if you dig a little ... In fact what I like with this amp is that you can sculpt the sound you want! According to low (active / passive ... 4 / 5 string ...) I change constantly low. Well changing 2 / 3 parameters, it sounds like I want every time!

Yes it suits my style: Versatile + + +
We are going well round / heat or the lens to Dub, etc ... It accepts all my bass without flinching! I like the sounds:
- To the modern one jazz bass, the middle at 11 h / 10 h to medium high / low midrange 14h / bass: 15 pm to 14/15 pm trebble I admit that the sound is warm, clean ... When I plug my P bass, then I put the level of media at 14 pm! and there I own one, but both "vintage"!
KL'avantage with this head is that you can have the sound you want, and above it adapts to any situation / low ... To you is what you want!

OVERALL OPINION

I've had about a year. I had stuff, Ampeg, Trace, Fender, Roland, ... But then I admit I found a stack of crazy!
connected to 1x15 "and two times 10 is a killer! And if I hear myself one day, it's time I ask the sound engineer to Get Connected Live!
In fact its power is sufficient for average scenes ... When it comes to power 307 w may seem low. Personal enough for me! Sortr not worth the big guns!
Q / P: unbeatable! Having had lots of amps, is the only one I do not intend to part for now!
If you like hot, pubs, rock sounds and footwear ... go for it!

UTILIZATION

The use is obvious, no need for a manual.

Readily obtained a good sound without problem.

SOUNDS

I think it's pretty versatile, the sound is clear and soft, lightly colored but not too ... I think it sounds great.
The EQ is effective, the compressor a bit less (only one knob and it is unclear what it acts ... probably the treshold?), When in fact the "sub-harmonics" it is useless.

I use it with two cabinets Ashdown MAG range: a 4 * 10 "and 15". Each is 8-ohm, it is both a balanced and in 4 ohm, so it nikel.

OVERALL OPINION

I use it for a little over 6 months.

Before that I tried heads Hartke, Ampeg and low-end combos.
I think it sounds better than the Hartke I had the opportunity to try, compared to Ampeg, it's less colorful but more versatile I guess.

+ I like the particularity: the bran, the meter (practice)

the -: EQ presets and "sub harmonics" unnecessary compressor not terrible (at the same time it's not why I bought it).

Value for money: excellent!

With experience, this budget I would do this choice, yes, a thousand times yes.

UTILIZATION

Easy and intuitive to use, the manual is very basic but somehow not really necessary.
Simple adjustments, you immediately feel the effect on the sound, you get what you want quickly.


SOUNDS

I use it with an Epiphone Viola bass violin and chamber Ashdown MAG 410T Deep. The sound is clean and well suited to this style of bass. It is clear, precise, no complaints from that side.

Effects deep, sub-harmonics are bright and a little gadget in my opinion, the equalizer and the compressor are much more useful.

Just a caveat for input passive preamp has enough gain for a passive bass, even putting the knob input background I can just about -7 dB being thoroughly on low.

Little background noise, even at max gain, what we hear most is the fan!
Ashdown could have put a silent fan on this amp, it's been a bit messy. That said, we do not hear him playing happily!

I intend to add a preamp tube for more gain and a warmer sound, kind pedal EBS Valve Drive. I will update my review after the test.


OVERALL OPINION

I just receive it, not yet tested thoroughly.
I had no bass amp before I plugged directly into my sound system, so there is necessarily better.
I made this choice by following the advice of AudioFanzine, so thank you to the contributors: o)

I like the power, clean sound, easy adjustments. The meter has the mouth!
I do not gain enough of the passive input and noise of the fan, I would have rated 9 / 10 without these defects.

Compared to that found on the market, the price / quality ratio is very good. To get better, I think we should put much more expensive.
For an active bass, it is perfect. For a passive bass, provide an external preamp.

I got to 574 € with MAG 410T Deep pregnant, so no regrets, I would do this choice.
