40 watt bass amp, made in West Germany. Hybrid transistor preamp and amplifier tube is much better than the other way especially with vintage transistors. Very simple settings, on / off, standby, treble, bass, volume. Output and two outputs 16 ohms 8 ohms. I like simple amps, but if the settings are sufficient for a guitar for a low-medium setting would have been welcome. The year of construction is 1969 I think we talk so much vintage amp.
UTILIZATION
Are lit, remove the stand-by on the volume goes up and it works, what an amp ... The front plexi lights and industrial design of the 60 German is more "poetic".
SOUNDS
To the sound of a bass is great if you play with fingers, the bass is deep and not runny and the media are present. But I played with a pick most of the time and even though this amp is cool the tone controls are not sufficient to me. I play on replicas of Japanese dishes Jazzbass mounted nets and wish dig the mediums that are very present for once, it sounds cool but I also like that not much choice. Power level that is sufficient to repeat the same step with a drummer, ideal for playing in a club or pad. This is the advantage of transistor preamp you can get a good sound even at low volume amp not come on any lights. Saturation from 3 / 4 volume.
For a guitar is stunning come it sounds good, the settings are sufficient, and it sends even on big stage, I tested. Very nice grain.
OVERALL OPINION
I bought this amp "like that to show" without even trying. We find for less than € 200 on the net quite frequently. It is not comparable with a Hiwatt Custom 100 or Stevens but this is an amp that has a sound all his own and actually quite endearing. To play the old funk and pop with her late 70's cool, To the slap I know I is not but I think it's not for. Unbeatable value for money, build quality indestructible!
