EBS Fafner

SOUNDS

The prampli trs is versatile, all rose from Manir excellent: from the crystalline sounds of Marcus Miller (that's what he uses), to reggae (yes), slap the fool Mark King sauce, hard metal, jazz with double bass. In gnral it love at first sight when we try!

OVERALL OPINION

FAFNIR the head amp is a hybrid, with one and only one lamp (12AX7) which is a monster job!
It delivers 600Watts and drops below 2 ohms Speakon connectors jacck and (2 Speakon taken).
The settings are simplest and most effective.
Bass (+ boost), Medium with adjustable frequencies, Trebble more boost, gain boost and are quite volume.Les testis. Note that the major boost tends to give more punch to the grave, and not to soften.

SOUNDS

Frankly, I find no defect at that head, which, in addition to the head to be the warmest and clearest that I know, is incredibly versatile.
I mainly play it with a warwick corvette and Jazzbass (fna jazzman and proline).
I have never heard Jazzbass ring as well as in this amp (but that is c can be also because that s not an ordinary Jazzbass).
The slap sound is beyond my expectations of son.Les smooth sounds are very precise, and maintain a dynamic formidable.Les metal sounds are beautiful.

OVERALL OPINION

EBS has signed an amp crazy, which is largely above the other heads EBS n I like it (strangely).
I have the head ready for two months, and I have an ampeg head SVT3Pro before purchasing this Fafner.
I do not regret this purchase, because I've easily found the sounds with my ampeg.
I also know the head mesa 400 + is an all-tube head, and I n ay have no envy (not even the expensive maintenance of lamps, and the weight lol).
The price of quality rapprot Fafner is still very honest when you see the quality of such engin.POur the same price, you can find the svt3pro d ampeg.

C is an amp ESSAYER.Pour me, the best amp out there.

UTILIZATION

The configuration is simple amp Plug & Play!
This gives a good sound trs, which affects the light REALLY: 2 lamps diffrent and it changes the sound. There is a grain and a rel tural warmth not found on other amps similar design.

SOUNDS

We can all play with this amp, it fits all types of music, even if it's true that I found a little characters "old school" while having a modern cot places say more about the styles jazz rock, fusion, funk ...
I'm playing with a Vigier Passion III and Ibanez BTB406. This amp reproduces well the timbre of the instruments, and even the BTB, which is an instrument based trs modest in terms of sound, sounds great with this amp.
With regard to the sound, I like when a flock. The FAFNIR allows this sort of thing. The resulting sound is excellent because it combines the warmth and texture of the lamp and open the attack prcise transistors. I would describe the sound as "dynamic", "clear" and "natural". Although this amp has the characters and colors the sound a bit basic, everything is dosed, notament regarding the drive that goes from the saturation trs trs wild sweet stuff (Viking-made forces ). It was really on his CONTRL, no need to add him fireworks.

OVERALL OPINION

I use it for almost a year.
What I like most: portards of master drive and go until 11! ... the available power can have its DSIR any volume. I think that even when this kind of amp is made to be pushed to sound, low volume does not like ...
I tried a lot of amps before, and I must say that I am REALLY happy: the sound, inexpensive maintenance, not too heavy ...
What I like least: nothing but I can not afford to keep it complment my SM500 which strangely I find myself more. I told my Microbass2 couple times and the sound obtained is one of the best I've ever had!
The report price is good quality.
I would do this election ... trs a good amp!
