Value For Money :
Excellent
I took it as part of an endorsement ... Released in 2009, the Fusion 550 head was late in France because too much demand for his release ... A head full of analog hybrid 500 +50 watts with 2 channels including 100% of motorized knobs to move from one sound to another! Preamp tube to 6 stages (3 lamps)!

For what purpose?
I needed to renew my gear (after playing on Trace Elliot Eden ...). I'm not disappointed with the beast. Full connectivity (pedalboard comes with beefy channels and mute) for the Gallien (50 w 500w volume independent of the master) You
UTILIZATION

Easy to use configuration, the receiver automatically stores your settings on the 2 channels and you pass from one to another without mute where everything is adjustable (via the entry level to master. ..)
Simple manual in English, the head is very well made, we feel that it's sturdy ...
Like the connector (input active / passive effects loop, tuner output, DI output with active volume control switch and pre / post to send the mixed sound or not, or Speakon output jack HP 6.35mm).
With a 4x10 cabinet Gallien it sounds great, I also use it with a cabinet Hartke 15 "and the result is amazing! Tell your neighbors! Lol
SOUNDS
Gallien is best known for styles & Jazz rock but this head is well suited to short any Metal style. It's amazing how versatile it is! can switch between Slap her, his finger, pick, walkin ', is really very short good!
Unlike Trace Elliot and Ampeg, the grain of the sound is not typical and you can really do its ProRes his ... The Bright and deep switches provide respectively treble and bass if desired. Like the mediums that sends the head (you can choose to adjust the contour of 500hz or more of 800Hz knob mediums). And if you miss the treble, with a cabinet Gallien, you can independently adjust the tweeter master and that's not insignificant!
OVERALL OPINION
I've had less than a year.
Ive tried many other brands (MARKBASS, TRACE, EDEN, WARWICK, Fender) and about 1200 € was the best value for money. This head is available in 1000 watts to 1650 € for those who play at Stade de France ... lol ... But already 500W, the need to spit the lights!
What I like is the sound, versatility, ergonomics (can be rack, put it upright! The handles), its connection to the live or studio, finish quality, price ....
What I like about it? I'm still looking!
