Class D amp (I think because otherwise I do not see how ....)

500 watts .... 2 kilos 600 grams!

everything you need to never be caught out: output speakon + jack for power, XLR DI output, FX loop, separate volumes on the front for the amp and DI output with mute: that I say thank you !

An output tuner +

found in most of the famous bands EQUAL 4 VLE and VPF feature of the mark. The first simulates a vintage speaker and the second is a kind of outline digging medium and treble breaks. I'm not a fan but I'm sure it has an interest in certain styles of music.

UTILIZATION

The configuration is simple we can.
All settings to "0" is obtained and punchy sound halfway between "right" of EBS and the round of Ampeg, two brands that I use and know well.

The trend is to round anyway.
DI in this class is only slightly less than a U5 but much less "clear": I have both so I could compare. I had problems breathing with a combo of the brand in the studio (DI and HP) then nothing at all: everything is clean!

For optimal signal processing in post production but I prefer the U5 or when I need when I want to make my sound upon taking the Rocker 500 is perfect in the sense that I find the solution in 2 seconds.

The action of the VLE and VPF knobs famous is interesting but very exaggerated if one passes the first quarter up to you to see ... at the same time I play on a JB Deluxe 5 active so that my Equal board is sufficient in most cases.

Section distal tube gives excellent results in "preamp" I mean, coming back a little in the lamp to cradosser the sound and give a good color rock.

For a distortion "to donf" there are ten times better with or without lamp in my opinion ..

SOUNDS

With this little jewel I went from Jazz to Rock cheerfully but to be honest I must say that the U5 to the little more upscale that goes for everything must be clean and head Ampeg big sound being asked in general.

So why the Rocker 500?

mainly because you will not find anywhere else a few cubic decimetres amp and under 3 pounds that will make you sound as warm and punchy.

For logistical reasons it is not possible me to board the three bodies on tour: I did try the "small" by repeating and I'm gone on the road the next day. I could test different speaker configuration that provides me with backline and you know what?
I got excellent results on the back of sound in 4 ohm output via the speakon (tested on 400 Martin, PS 15 and Whferdale). Which to me makes this amp a beast tour: do not panic if you end up with the m ... in backline if anything because it was "forgotten" .... the DI is excellent and will only brilliantly bestiolle a passive foot bath! (Quality anyway ....)

OVERALL OPINION

The big plus, you guessed it, this is the versatility and value for "services rendered / space".

Because you go with your fingers you will never be disappointed with this stuff there.
If you lack the SVT4 ben .... ask for a bigger tour bus ;)

I advise to keep a U5 below the elbow, on the other hand, when it comes to recording.
