« SWR Bass 750 Amplifier »
Published on 01/30/02 at 15:00I bought this amp from Musiciansbuy.com fro $850, no tax, no shipping charge. I was playing in a punk band for a coupla months, and the Workingmans 15 combo + extention cabinet(15) just was not cuttin it! The drummer could not get himself to play softer, and the guitar players Peavey 5150 was cranked to an obnoxiously high level, so I got the SWr Bass 750, and the SWR Workingmans Tower(8x10)
This amp kicks ass! plus, it has a fan, which the SWR 15 combo does not, so I could fry eggs on the heat sink after playing it at a lowd setting, that cant be good.
the limiter acts like a compressor, sounds really cool when cranked up. With this amp you get the warmth of a 12ax7 tube Pre-amp, which the SWR Power 750 does not have.
There isnt one damn thing I dont like about this amp, I love it!
Rock solid, Its like the Harley of bass amps, it might get you laid, awsome sound and lots of chrome!!!!
If youve got $850 to spend on an amp, this is the your best bet!
