SONORITS

I use it with my Washburn Force 40 Chicago and my various effects. Very very good record with an incredible qualitprix report.
The big one can have his or her brilliant heavy thanks to the equalizer and buttons Deep / Bright.
With vumtre vintage Ashdown
Octave function is not necessarily ncessaire other hand (over the switch is on the head so impractical concert)
For his rock / funk or Mtal it's perfect
Big power under the elbow (you can add a baffle behind with output)

NOTICE GLOBAL

I use it for bientt 3 years (purchased in 2006).
Never had a problem from the Gain knob that grsillait unbearable fawn but simply of graphite that makes up the (graphite dust after the wear empchait good conduction in the knob). A bomb hit spciale (in store) and you're jou !!! It retrouv his youth of yesteryear
This is my first real amp and I'm entirely satisfied
Most: a big sound worthy of the greatest to not (too) cheap and easy rgler (to the chagrin of neighbors!)
The least: the octave unnecessary weight (but there is nothing)
A report qualitprix concrete!
With the same budget I would do this choice blindness

This Amp is unbelivable. There is not one bad thing about it. The sound on hese things is beautiful, really bassy, but can also deliver shed loads of punchy tre.ble if required. I Play this in a Punk band and can easily keep up with the 2 guitarists. At gigs i have the volume about 1/2, and it fills the room with ease ( and this is to a crowd of 100-150 ). The controls are easy to use and lets you get the right sound quickly. It also has this effect called sub-harmonics which when turned on plays a note an octave lower as well as the note you are playing, this shakes the Fu==ing Ground.

Nothin, apart from the fact that i had to pay for it

Brilliant, Very well built, everything has a solid feel to it.

Buy One if u know whats good for you

When I quit gigging with my old mates, I put my bass in it's case and sold my Hartke 350w head and 4-10 cab. Ouch.
Recently, I've pushed the pocket rocket as far as it will go and decided to amplify again.
I did alot of research, both locally and on the web and decided on the Ashdown 300w/210 combo (I had only read good reviews of all ashdown equipment). I got a smoking deal from Zzsounds.com ($450.00 with free shipping)and although backordered for four weeks, I forgot all percieved inconvenience once I plugged in (about 90 seconds from reciept).

Wow, this unit packs lots of tone. The 5-band EQ is very effective and when the input and output knobs are optimally set (for your guitar and room) it provides plenty of volume without unwanted distortion. Sub-harmonic feature is cool, especially when you monkey around higher up the neck. I tripped on that for a couple of hours last night. The VU meter is cooler in person than in photos.
My Fender Jazz special is super punchy and these speakers handle every bit of it.


Not much.......oh, one of my effect settings makes something metallic sounding rattle inside the head (in the high E note), sounds like a washer or something, real faint, but I've heard it. I thought this product was British, but I keep seeing markings on the packaging denoting China. Ok, so I aspire to Wang Entwistle.

This feels like a macho cabinet. Nice inset handles, weighs like 73 lbs, easy to move around and through doorways. The steel grill is not real stiff, but will protect against average contact. The knobs on the head are nice and smooth, knob heads are on-there, sturdy.

300 watts/2-10's for $450-, you just can't beat this! Go ahead and check.
Honestly, this unit is powerful, compact, easy to set-up, attractive, versatile and beautiful sounding. I may in the future add a single 15 cabinet, but this right out of box will rock your socks off. Great product for a great price.

UTILIZATION

Simple setup, the sound is very easily obtained.
Had never looked at the manual I can not tell if it is clear but I think that there is no need for such manual amp.

SOUNDS

It is ideally suited to my style, pop rock, electro, trip hop, .... (No metal or hard)
The sound is warm, well rounded, deep .... you can have a multitude of sounds DIFFERENT thanks all these settings.

OVERALL OPINION

Otherwise, I can tell you it has everything I need and more.

Function Sub-Harmonics and friendly although a bit feeble. I use it as a real octaver to play some funky stuff sometimes, I do not intend to buy a pedal, this little gizmo is more than enough for me what I do.

For the "compression" I do not like it but somehow I think I do not like this kind of sound, even with a real pedal ...
Maybe some people will enjoy for a little more aggressive attacks (slap or pick).

UTILIZATION

Super simple setup: Bass - Low-Mid Mid - High Mid and Treble.

I want to say that the knobs are pretty sensitive, but the spectrum is not excessive: the changes are not made only between 8am and 2am position, the sound is rough when you push a few adjustments.

All afternoon and the sound is very correct, personally, I push a little bass and mids and cut a little treble or I disable the EQ and Deep j'enclenche button, it's really not a bad setting, a practice that stuff.

I had no manual with it was the last of the store and I think he was lying more or less since some time, that's why I got it at that price.

SOUNDS

Then the sound really good, I use it almost without effect (sometimes a tremolo or phaser).

I play mostly covers of Pink Floyd and the first set I'm talking about above me is very much: it is round and clear and the attack is intense.

For the Blues and Funk, I prefer the second setting: a pretty serious sound with beautiful very burdensome. I add a damper on the bass and the sound I really like.

I played with a Cort B5 and if passes without serious drooling but it still lacks some precision volume medium-high, maybe I'm going to add a 4 * 10 in 8ohms to remedy that and to have a sound a little more "heavy"?

I played Dream Theater (no nags songs too) and frankly, the result was very correct.

OVERALL OPINION

Overall I am very happy with this amp for this price, I think it is part of the best although I must admit I have not tested much.

I hesitate especially with the classic Ampeg BA-115, I have tried long before I decided and frankly "there is no picture": the Ampeg really lacks precision and I think it is much less versatile than the Ashdown .

I also am "site with the EBS Classic Session 60, I think if it had been a bit more powerful, I will have it made.

I still wish he was a grain a little but honestly it's typed, like amp to play Repeat 'and little room, it is awfully nice ^ ^.

Later, as if I had, I would take a good speaker with a 200 Hiwatt 4 * 12 and it would be resolved.

UTILIZATION

Easy to use. All the features are working, the EQ and the two Deep functions (function "big potato dynamic") and Bright (depending on its crystal clear and) allow a great flexibility. The sub harmonic function is nice but quite small, it can add some serious harmonic, but it does not replace a true octave. DI output on the front is frankly welcome the rendering is really good at making sounds. One thing "con" on / off button is behind (?), But it's a detail.
Finally, in terms of finishing, it's heavy but sturdy and flawless. The retro look with the meter is excellent. For transportation, the handles are large and practical. When you play with the volume, nothing vibrates is stable.

SOUNDS

I play it with a Stingray 4 and an Ibanez SR500, in soul-funk styles. The sound is big and warm in the bass, and treble, it is clear and slamming. The two 10''and the tweeter is super effective. For the groove it is frankly amazing. To slap, slap like that is terrible though. The EQ settings are effective, we can easily find the sound we like and needed. For the other directories, I think it has enough versatility to provide. I once heard a friend playing with a pick on it with my Stingray, nothing to say the sound and grain are beautiful and well made. Otherwise, I've played with a 5 string Stingray with reasonable amounts of rehearsal, if the grave was clear and not runny. Now, large volume for the stage, I do not know if it remains clear. In any case, everyone will say it would be wise to connect a subwoofer in addition to 15''(the connector is provided on this combo). Otherwise a 4 string is a pure joy!

OVERALL OPINION

3 years I have. Frankly, I see no fault. The sonic potential of the beast are excellent for this price range amp. The quality / price ratio should be easily beatable: for my part I have not found. Ashdown is a very good brand, very similar to other "big" builders: there is nothing to be ashamed! I do not regret my choice. To test urgently. Even for the purchase of his first amp, the choice can be done with eyes closed, with the versatility it offers and its price.
