USE

i found this great amp on ebay and got it for $180. brand new! i think it retails for about $299 so i didn't save that much, but the amp is worth every bit if not more.

for a 30 wat combo, this thing rocks. this is a solid very well made little practice amp. i say little, but the thing has to weigh close to 50 pounds. even though it is only 30 wats its 12' speaker is louder than some 65 wat combos i tried out. great aux input to plug in cd player or rhythm machines. and a tilt back leg to angle amp upward is great for practicing. this is by far the best practice amp i have come across yet. i'm not sure how it will stand up to a full band practice situation. but i really don't think it was made for that anyway.

i really can't think of anything bad about this amp other than it only has 3 level controls, 4 if you count the aux volume.

very, very solidly built. strong frame with felt covering and a metal speaker cover. could easily handle a small toddler climbimg on it(it has).

best little practice amp i have ever seen. i origanially bought it because it was a good deal for $180. but even the $299. retail price is a great deal for this little tank.

I use the second version of the Blue Cab 30, the one with a 10 hp. "The old version was renamed Blue Cab 60 t.
It dlivre 30 watts, CONTRL offers simple but effective: three knobs to legalization (B / M / T) and an output volume. Point.
No fuss kind of compressor, wah or Octaver is plug and play.

Two entries: passive or active, depending on your bass.
It adjusts the equalizer and go up the output volume. And that's all.
By way of goodies, a headphone jack, a line out and effects loop.
A short walk can Leaflets the rear to tilt the combo.

UTILIZATION

It's simple: just an amp.
It amplifies without dnaturer.
The sound? this dpend of your game and your bass.
For me its j'apprcie Fidler.

SOUNDS

The neutrality of BC30 is INTERESTED: the sound is typical depending on what you plug in there.
I play on a Neuser Crusade Signature 4-string, needless to say that a ring.

I have yet to test in pedals (I'm not a fan of effects) but I'm ending for a compressor for the slap.

Note that the very low Neuser out naturally and that the BC30 is able to return them.

OVERALL OPINION

It is small but heavy trs. The sound is the height of the weight of the craft.
Nine is the most expensive amp in its class: approximately 190 euros.
No effects, no gadget, you might think it is too expensive the other o offer lots of buttons. No, actually you pay 30 watts of quality.
I have tested dozens of combos, amps possd between 150 and 2000 euros, and I can assure you that this little 30 watt amp is really good.

You have a slightly lower premium (or top level), forget modlisations and onboard effects and build on the basic quality. That's what I did and I do not regret my choice.

Are we talking about THE FIRST version of the Blue Cab 30 is - say the MODEL which has exactly the same dimensions as the current Blue Cab 60, and thus an HP 12 " (the new MODEL as close to the former Blue Cab 20, much smaller and with a simple HP 10 ")

UTILIZATION

Operation is ultra simplistic. One branch and it works. The rglages are quite effective, and the possibility to connect from one is extremely smart amp for such a study.

I play a little every style of music. The neutrality of this amp is its strong point. It is quite versatile despite a tendency to have low too blurry ...

Knowing that I use for my work ranges and all that goes with my house, the sound balance that suits me. The sounds that I prefer the following settings ..., I have three that I use often (the volume is not taken into account, not important). I give the settings on a scale of 12 every time:
-Jazz/blues: Bass 10, mid 2, 1 treble
Slap-funk: bass 4, 7 mid, treble 12
-Metal: bass 11, mid 8, treble 12 (attention to the saturation at that setting ...)

I play it with a Warwick Streamer Blackhawk 151 (passive) and a Cort Curbow 5 MIC (active / passive switchable). I use no effects.

OVERALL OPINION

I use it since I started on bass, there's 8 months.
I tried a Fender Rumble 150 (too expensive) then an Ibanez which I do not remember the name ... and I preferred it. What I like best about this amp will sound trivial but ... it's the texture of "packaging" in carpet! ^ ^ -7 Euros to an amp ... eh bah correct.

With experience I will ever be the choice? ... YES !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
