Acoustic Image Contra EX

SOUNDS

The sound, given the size and weight, is stunning.
It was very easy for these sub bass, which is quite confusing, the spectrum shows a clear and precise, it faithfully reproduces the sound.
Being originally designed for acoustics, its characteristic is its sound distribution in space, less directional than a standard cab for electric bass, it tends to spread the sound more evenly around itself.
This is not annoying even with electric bass.

OVERALL OPINION

I own this amp for about three months. I bought ESSENTIALLY logistical reasons, I have no car, and except that point, I got sick and tired of sciatica and back concerts laborious.
There was the 250w that fits in a shoulder bag, which was simply unthinkable for me some time ago. Volume without cramps, it's possible!
I, like many bassists, long referred to the three body ampeg fridge, but over the years is D-Door, I do not have roadies paid for the installation and maintains, I did aps truck for move and store, I'm not allowed, but not least, I did not, concretely, need a body 3 ampeg fridge. Of all the scenes where I find myself, am using my amp as personal return, the rest being for the facade.
My life has changed (sniff) now that I have this hp ... I arrive, light as a butterfly, branch, and I play, I get along well enough, and goes home to light as the wind.
Certainly, and here I quibble because there is no perfect, and becaufe is never satisfied if not what good?, Certainly, therefore, the sound I love, I know it comes from a 2 or 4X 10 '+15', ie round, warm bass, midrange and precise. Although it is designed for the amplification of sound and did not punch a mark or a mark bass elliot ... But ... what more you want to 12kilogrammes?!
Briefly to summarize a great cab for the 250w, I do not regret my choice at all and I even can not realize how much I have I made the right, being a specialist in compulsive shopping and having had the Cygnus bought without ever having had any info on this product.
The only unknown is its resistance in the long term (electric amplification) but time will tell, for now I have nothing to report in this regard.
