«  Surprising! »

Published on 03/18/11 at 10:59
- Made in Mexico (not in China, which is surprising considering the price ...)
- HP 12 'Neodynium
- 11kg (checked!)
- 500W sub 8Ohms
- 2 input / output jack on the back.
- Tweeter at the top right with 3 position switch (FULL/OFF/-6DB)
- Matrix metal well beefy
- Broadcaster sub-bass in the lower left.
- May be placed upright or on its side.

- Used with a MarkBass Little Mark III
- Use only for work at home, for rehearsals and concerts in clubs and small theaters. Providing a second 12 or 1 * 2 * 8 small that goes with it for larger venues.

SOUNDS

The frequency curve seems well respected across the spectrum of my G & L L2500 and my Stingray 5. The HP 12 'does not saturate, whatever the volume, even with a low B. The sound is precise, neutral (This is very important to me because I prefer the texture of my bass is not transformed by the character of HP) and well defined, which is amazing considering the price ...
The HP 12 is really great. The ideal balance between a 15 'and 10'!
Excellent record lows mediums and psychics in general. Severe hum well as it should and does not drool. The highs are well defined, without being garish as the 10 '.

A light breath anyway, but I do not know yet whether this is due to bad wiring in my house, the tweeter, or HP itself ...

Basically, very good surprise for the price.
Being accustomed to high-end speaker (Markbass), this speaker really has nothing to be ashamed of the comparison.

Only one remaining test in concert to confirm all the good that I think of this cabinet ...

OVERALL OPINION

Having read a very positive review of this small cab in the trade press and seeking an alternative to my big 4 * 10 Markbass for small clubs and said, I am facing this small Fender Rumble 112.

No regrets yet. The power to weight ratio is comparable to or Markbass Genz Benz cabinets specialists ultralight ...

Notice to confirm with a little more perspective, but it made me look very good ... =)
