Marceau Amps 1x12" Modern

Needing special features for a speaker at a price much lower than some manufacturers, so I opted to order from Tom Marceau for a bass speaker.
After some discussion, the specification was:
- Caisson finland birch plywood (shuttering 18mm, bottom 15mm and 10mm front)
- Dimensions 450x400x350 (based MarkBass NY121)
- Adjustable vent on the front
- Celestion Orange Label 12 "8 ohms (so you can connect a second speaker in parallel 8ohms)
- Mesa Boogie Tolex
- Grillcloth Ampeg
- 2 combo jacks jack / Speakon
- One recessed handle on top (style handle 4x12 "Marshall)

All for 11 kg.

You should know that everything is selected to measure, the color of the Tolex to the brand of jack!

SOUNDS

The speaker is rather neutral and oriented "modern" than "vintage" at the HP and Design (bass reflex).

Tested with several low ('94 MusicMan Stingray, PB violin amateur Pedulla-Orsini, 75, S1 Status, JB Squier VM FL, FL Ibanez RB690 Tom Marceau The Will), that sounds in all circumstances.
The speaker was a drive by Eden WT-400 Eden Nemesis or ENX260, with or without my preamp Trace Elliot V-Type and also to complement my other speakers (Eden D112XLT and BFM Omni 10.5).

Are neutral and punchy qualities.
He has a small bump in the midrange with a lack of infra and big treble, but that's normal for a 1x12 cabinet "without tweeter, nothing surprising.

For the weight and price, I am very happy!

OVERALL OPINION

It has been 5 months since I have it, and I'm as happy as ever.
He follows me in rehearsal and returned without any problem in the trunk of my car.

Beautiful, compact, lightweight and efficient, what more?
