I am a bassist in Rock Electro band. I needed a stack deep bass and powerful enough to shape the sound the way I wanted.
I tried many brands (Gallien Krueger, Hartke, Ampeg ...), but I quickly stopped on Markbass. These are the most powerful, dynamic and versatile as I've tried amps. Their production is impeccable, and the weight / power ratio is excellent (I have long carried the dead horses 100W in my chest, I think a lot of bass players understand what I mean).
The only barrier for me was the price barrier that collapsed with the arrival of the Black Line range and this model ...

So I use this speaker for 8 months with an active bass Ibanez SR-700 (Bartolini pickups) and a 200 amp Markbass BlackLine.

SOUNDS

To me that sounds like rich in low-medium (these frequencies that take you in the stomach and shake the ground), it suits me perfectly.
Even if HP is more comfortable in the low-medium, he is also doing very well in the treble. One could blame him a little sluggish in some styles of play such as slap, but that's not really the job of a 15-inch speaker. And when I say that I nitpick, even with its diameter is above many speakers 10 inch other brands ...

OVERALL OPINION

I use it for 8 months, I bought it after all the stores in my town and have tried many brands, and I have no regrets. The sound is perfect, it is light, well finished, solid, beautiful (although I wish I had the yellow membrane, but it was 300 euros for the standard range so ...).
What I like most about him is the quality of its serious and accuracy of sound. It does not drool, constant and regular. However, I noticed that the tweeter in the studio not blowing bad. Live, it is minimal and not really annoying, but in the studio we hear.
I lent it to a few bass players on dates and they all really enjoyed the sound.

After testing the 15-inch standard (the one that costs twice as much), except may be the power, I did not see any difference in sound or build quality (except maybe the plastic grille). And power level, with a 200W amp, this one is enough ... I play in a group with no amplification, and I can cover the battery is half the capacity of this amp.
In short, if you hesitate between the Black Line and Standard, go on that one, the quality is there! And if you do not know these amps, try one, I think like a lot of bass, you will fall in love
