It is mounted with a ultrajazz in bridge and neck in a dp 120. Three DiMarzio so ... I think the disappearance of the acute problems is related to the amps.
Other than that, go there with confidence, this gizmo can not disappoint you if you like BIG sound and you have a good amp (trace elliot is the best for this mic).
I will not change most is the one!
