New Seymour Duncan NYC Bass pickups

Seymour Duncan introduces the new NYC passive pickups for 4 and 5-string basses.

The new Soapbar-type Seymour Duncan NYC Bass pickups are designed to replace, among others, EMG35 on 4-string basses and EMG 40 pickups on 5-stringed instruments. They are described as versatile, with a balanced response and a high output.

The NYC Bass pickups use to J-type coils and two rows of Alnico 2 poles. You can wire them in different ways : in parallel for a thicker single coil sound with hum cancelation, in series for a punchier sound and in single-coil setup for typical vintage jazz sound.

The DC resistance of these passive pickups is 18.72k for the neck model and 21.43k for the bridge version.

The pickups are available as sets or separately. Visit www.seymourduncan.com for further details.
