Analog Envelope Filter Bass:
Dry button: level of clean
FX: effect level
Button Decay: frequency level
Button Q: intensity level of the filter
Direction button: level of response and sensitivity
True Bypass pedal
The pedal is in Band Pass mode ie it cuts frequencies above and below the filter, the low pass mode cuts frequencies above the filter and High Pass mode cuts frequencies below the filter, Low Pass in theory is more suitable on Bass, but filled it adds MXR button DRY

UTILIZATION

level setting those who like to take a little head will be filled between the Dry, FX (the level of clean and effect), the decay, the Q and the direction (the adjustment of the effect), c is not missing opportunities

SOUND QUALITY

I think it lacks a little body, presence is not as transparent as EBS ... in fact made it very studio that is surgical, right numerical limit, the grain is modern in that register there, it is excellent if it's right that we seek after those who want the vintage, round, fat, analog and not too much control I'm not sure it can be agreed after the tastes and colors ...
this pedal sounds good, but I was expecting the slap, saw how everyone talked about, I would say that it is the Q-Tron will be buried was his successor need to think you can go head down and finally ... this is not the case

OVERALL OPINION

Supposedly used by Marcus Miller, Robert Trujillo, Jack Daley, Nathan East ... I think MXR made a big advertising campaign on Bass at the moment there is a market to take (all the better for us), after I ask to see what is actually used in the pedalboard ...
The value for money to 149 € -179 € nine it stings a little, secondhand to 90 € -100 € why not?
I personally have had the choice between a micro Q-Tron and this one, I chose the Q-Tron more to my liking and to my ears, despite the increased volume that can be solved via the addition of a volume knob or LS2, for me there is not a pedal better or worse than the other they are different and do not meet the same requirements ... after this is a matter of sound one likes or dislikes
on the other hand I would have tried the pedal Aguilar Filter Twin ...
