Audio-Technica brings to market the new U851RO Omnidirectional Condenser Boundary Microphone.

 

The U851RO is phantom-powered and is designed with sound reinforcement, professional recording, television, conferencing and other sound pickup situations in mind.

 

The U851RO’s UniPoint capsule near the boundary is designed to eliminate phase distortion. The unit is equipped with a PivotPoint rotating output connector, allowing the cable to exit from either the rear or the bottom of the microphone; a UniSteep filter,designed to improve sound pickup without affecting voice quality; and UniGuard RFI-shielding technologye. It accepts interchangeable condenser elements in cardioid and hypercardioid polar patterns.

 

The U851RO comes with a black finish in a die-cast case and silicon foam bottom pads. The U851RO’s element provides an omnidirectional polar pattern with a 360-degree acceptance angle.
