UTILIZATION

Easy and most complete. Here we have everything one expects from a "channel strip" full: preamp, high pass filters and low pass, compressor, gate, EQ. The converter is optional (I did not take, that already have what I need). All functions can be placed in almost any order (which gives an enormous flexibility).
The sound on this, clear, precise. No need to hack to get something very good. But a little tweaking you can get something good.

SOUND QUALITY

It is "the" SSL sound. Among the very best. One may prefer a particular brand for a particular type of instrument, but you can also look at Rolls or Bentley Ferrari Aston Martin ... we are in the most excellent. Me I do not like the SSL preamp on vocals but I love it on drums, percussion, bass ... It is not "stiff" (note: we are in the shade) for vocals. For voice spoken on the other hand ... And again, the taste comes (I prefer softer preamps and more round for the voice, but it's personal).

OVERALL OPINION

Level feature, I like being able to place each section in the desired order: j'égalise then I compress and then I filter, compress or I, and I j'égalise filter, filter or I can I compress and then j EQ, etc.. etc..
What I regret: not buying one ... have a second, it would be nice ...
