Though it’s inspired by classic “Blackface” solid-state compressors and based on real gear recordings, the Fast FET Compressor is CDSoundMaster’s original creation, they say.
The plug-in offers four operation modes, all based on an attack time of about 800 microseconds and release time of 1,100 microseconds. The first mode is similar to a fast compression with 4:1 ratio, the three offers offer smoother transition and allow for a more musical processing of transient changes.
The GUI features input and output levels, Drive for harmonic distortion, threshold and ratio adjustments, as well as a VU-meter and bypass switch.
The Fast FET Compressor is available for the introductory price of $99 instead of $149 for one week. You’ll find all the details about this new plug-in at cdsoundmaster.com.
