Thread Have a question on software after building a computer?

Hello,

So this coming Christmas i want to build my computer, i have found all the stuff i need and now my next question is about the software. I am currently running XP and was wondering can i install XP using the serial code i have on the side of my computer? Or will i need to buy Vista or Xp all over?

Hi, You 'can' use the XP software, and ###, and once setup, will have 30 days to pay for the usage. You will need the drivers for your board of couse, but, once you can access the Net, you can obtain the windows updates to complete your quest. Good luck. Done it, had fun, some frustration, but a learning experience for sure.
Reminder: Compatability of components is paramount.
