Zildjian 16" A Rock Crash
Published on 02/19/02 at 15:00I bought it at Sam Ash for about $140. I was compelled to purchase it after buying cheaper cymbals and having them crack. I finally decided to go with the classic.
Pros:
-The sound is very bright and full.
-It is extremely durable and the tone maintains its integrity at extremely high volumes or at a quiet brush stroke.
Cons:
-The cymbal surface is prone to stick marks.
-Sometimes not as fast as you'd like it.
I have only had it for a short period(about 3 months), but it seems to be good as new still, even after repeated extreme volumes sessions. I would say it is one of the most durable cymbals I ever owned. The overall quality of the Ziljdian A's are well worth the...…

I would say it is one of the most durable cymbals I ever owned. The overall quality of the Ziljdian A's are well worth the extra money over a cheaper style or brand.
Not only do I beleive this to be an excellent cymbal, but just the fact of owning one of the most ancient and traditional percussion instruments in the world makes this an excellent value. Take care of ANY Zildjian A, and you'll have her for life.

Crash Cymbal Excellent!
Published on 07/26/10 at 08:10 (This content has been automatically translated from French)For how long have you been using it?
For nearly a year;
Did you try many other models before getting this one?
Yes, quite a crash, including his big sister Avedis Rock Crash 18 "Zildjian home course, The Stagg, Zildjian, Meinl, Paiste, Sabian and so on, all types of crash cymbals, from the smallest (14" ) to larger (20 ")
What thing do you like most/least about it?
For now I do not find him defects except that they have a very large volume, level rock it goes everywhere, both in primary crash crash that complementary; I use my left has just above / after my hihat, and the fact is that happy! Of course, jazz drummer so go your way I think, not for the sounds but it clears up for...…

Of course, jazz drummer so go your way I think, not for the sounds but it clears up for its power! The sounds are also very beautiful, crystal clear enough in general, sharp treble and a very beautiful sustain!
What is your opinion about the value for the price?
It is quite expensive but you can find it for 160 € on the Internet for approximately balances etc ... Approximately normally sold 200 €, it is a cymbal that will last a long time so I think the quality / price is justified given that it is a high-end cymbal zildjian home of the prestigious series Avedis!
Knowing what you know now, would you make the same choice? ...
Quite soon and I intend to buy a rock crashed at Aveda in 18 because after 3 years of hard work, just a crack to appear at the bell
