« Zildjian 16" Z-Custom Rock Crash »
Published on 07/22/03 at 15:00I bought this cymbal to replace a cheeper 16" Paiste 302 crash. I got it at Guitar Center in Buffalo NY for $160 (new). Lately I've seen them on sale for about $150.
This Cymbal is extra loud with a nice cutting sound. It's great for any rock, heavy metal, or alternative music. The thing I like best about this cymbal is the duribility. It will last years under heavy hitting and not crack. The bell has a very nice ping sound which could be used for affects.
Many other reviews for Z Custom cymbals have said that stick marks show very easily. This shouldn't be a problem since most drummers don't hit crashes with the tip of the stick. Fingerprints show very easily and the cymbal needs to be cleaned once a month to keep it in good condition.
It is a very high quality cymbal, with almost no defects. The brillant finish gives your set a stunning visuial effect under bright light.
This cymbal is a quality cymbal that can take lots of abuse. It's extra loud and will cut through any band. I would consider this a sound investment for any drummer.
