Topic Looking for a friend who needs parts for his 57 Danelectro guitar.
Guitar player ,and friend ,in our little band, has had this 1957 Danelectro guitar since he was a kid. He's 78 now. It was originally sparkle finish, and as a kid he hated the look, so he had painted it several times, over the years and eventually put it away and moved on. Unfortunately, he doesn't remember the model. That creates a problem, as he wants to rebuild it now with all new parts. Pickup/s/ pots, and pickup selector switch. All he knows is that its not a Silvertone model that Sears sold for Danelectro. He says it was a model sold before Sears got involved. He needs a schematic with parts identification, in order to replace parts in it. The pot is a dual ganged pot, and the switch selects between pickups. Not much info to help , I know., but he thinks its a model U2. 1957 Danelectro U2.
Any help from knowledgeable people here appreciated.
