These boxes use dual 3 PDO circuit 8 pin DIL floating mass.
These are high performance AOPS that surpass any preamp market for example.
They 115db minimum dynamic.

UTILIZATION

Very easy to use
BUT:
-Do not store in a damp place or subject to variations in temperature close to 0 °
-No input protection diodes by PDO (a massive problem over 20volts will destroy the PDO concerned).
-Knobs are not provided for resisted moisture also: a rainy climate, even if they are in the shelter, will be right in the long run them.

SOUND QUALITY

-The sound quality is very good: there is one on the top of the keypad.
These boxes do not color the sound: they are neutral.
The followers of a particular brand will be disappointed but hey, they questioned its color anything.

OVERALL OPINION

I have used 2 times but I have to buy to keep this both inside and warm!
Always plugged in all the earth plane before the units can otherwise spend.
For those who want loonnnggguuueees symmetrical connections, these small boxes will do wonders.
Tested successfully on 30 meters.
If they were robust to humidity and power surges, they would be 10/10.

To-balance against the opinion below, including the phrase very questionable "The sound quality is average but not too bad (it is only of Samson)" which requires a user formatted "it's cheap, this is not the big brand, so it's bad ... "I would say that this little box works wonders.
What is it?
It's not exactly a direct box because it does not have input / output RCA jack but 6.35, which does not intend the instrument (or microphones) usually connected to these "boxes". But we had to classify it somewhere ...
This is a balun / désymétriseur: running in both directions, it can convert an unbalanced signal "general public" -10 dBu balanced signal to a "pro" +4 dBV, or vice versa (see diagram on the box) while being able to adjust the level by a said knob, on each side.
In summary: adaptation level, symmetrization or vice versa, is stereo (or two mono channels).

UTILIZATION

I use it to get the stereo signal from a battery Roland, symmetrized by a direct box, a mixer with line level inputs are asymmetric. This allows me to connect the battery - or any other material line level - with very long cables, the first goal of the symmetrization of a material lacks balanced inputs.
Conversely, if I had a console with balanced inputs, I could connect it to S Convert the battery and send it to the console (it would be the equivalent of a direct box).
The HiFistes can use it to mix devices with HiFi sound equipment, such as the famous Behringer DCX2496. An electric desymmetrization does not always give good results (depending on elements upstream and downstream).

SOUND QUALITY

Transparent. The features described in the instructions are excellent (HiFi quality).

OVERALL OPINION

Who already have other accessories for Mini Series S Samson, I can say without blinking that is very robust, well designed and manufactured.
A ± 25 € on the market (rare) of secondhand is a steal. A ± 55 € new, it's quite cheap for services - specific - he makes.

A small box that makes a huge service converts the signal level (-10dBV to +4 dBu in one way or the other)

SOUND QUALITY

The sound quality is average but not too bad (except that of Samson) but no manufacturer does not offer the box in this format (15cm x 8cm x 3cm) there is no choice!
