Rogue Amoeba’s Audio Hijack multifunction audio recording software for Mac OS X has been updated to v3.
After more than 10 years on the market, Audio Hijack has been completely revamped in this version 3. Here are the main changes:
- New GUI
- Session templates to quickly access the most common tasks
- Multiple recorder support in a single session to record, for example, a same source in two different formats or various sources in sync
- Cleaning tools: Denoise, Declick and Dehum powered by iZotope
- Ducking, time shifter and volume effects
- Simplified audio effects
- New presets to store the settings of almost all Blocks and recall them in another session
- Improved instant capture of audio software and system
- FLAC and AAC (HE-AAC) formats recording support
- Full screen mode
- Supports 64-bit AU Cocoa plug-ins
- Discontinued support of VST, LADSPA, Carbon and 32-bit effect support
- Monitoring control for output device Block volumes
- Various improvements and fixes
Audio Hijack 3 is available for $49 but if you own a previous version, you get a special upgrade for $25. More info at www.rogueamoeba.com.
