Arvus introduces the HDMI-2A, a new 8 channel digital HDMI to AES/EBU converter in a 19" 1U rack format.
The Arvus HDMI-2A was made at the request of Sony who needed to verify the loudness levels of their PlayStations.
The HDMI-2A can convert 8 channels of PCM HDMI (7.1) to AES/EBU digital audio. A direct HDMI (audio and video) pass-through output is also available and the module is compatible with the HDMI 1.4 format.
At the rear of the rack, you’ll find two HDMI ports as well as 4 XLR outputs.
There is no information about the price of the HDMI-2A. Arvus also manufactures 8 channel AES/EBU to HDMI PCM (the AES-2H), USB to HDMI (USB-2H) and FireWire to HDMI (Fire-2H) converters.
