The MUTEC MC-6 is a high-performance digital audio format and sampling rate converter for AES3, AES3id and S/P-DIF signals. Unique to the MC-6 is its capability to lock two stereo sources with different clock rates and to convert their audio formats bi-directionally in real-time with the X-SRC mode. If no external reference is available, the MC-6’s low jitter clock base can act as a standalone master clock reference via the unit’s Word Clock output to synchronize any other digital audio device in the studio.
