Rackable: Yes
Connections: 8 + 8 XLR microphone inputs jacks 6.3 mm
Send 2 buses
3-band parametric EQ on each input.
J'automatise this table via Midi and if I remember correctly, absolutely all functions can be controlled via Midi.
UTILIZATION
Well done manual (2 volumes).
Simple job, nothing to say.
SOUNDS
Yamaha Promix 01 is one of the first numerical tables with motorized faders. Question converters, there is certainly much better today, so on this point, saying that given his age and considering the price it cost at the time, it is "correct" and nothing more.
Someone said "warm and round"? I would say just the opposite: a rather cold / stiff (I think) and a bit "metallic". Nothing scary, no doubt, it's not really a casserole, but I'm curious to compare it with good coffee tables analog or digital latest ...
OVERALL OPINION
I use it for 8 or 9 years in home studio and yes, I used other tables before that Promix (but never made a serious issue as a test).
At the time, I paid € 1000 (used) and I really have not been stolen (from the time I use it).
Goodies: complete (compared to my needs), fully automated, not too large, easy to use.
Cons: not super tough (it's Yamaha), converters old, feeble belts motorized faders. I use also the more motorized faders for a long time (no more).
Given the weaknesses of this Promix, I would do certainly not this choice today. In any case, not for home-recording studio.
