This device has lots of arpeggios and good effects also it has place for expansion cards (i don't have any so far though) it lacks a sequencer (like the fantom xr) or a sampler (fantom xr or triton rack) but in my opinion that's not what rack romplers are actually for.. the usb connection lets you control it directly from your computer-based sequencer (if you sequence via your computer) so you either have one free midi-port or less devices in the daisychain

UTILIZATION

The basics are pretty easy and everything is more or less self explainable.. when it comes to deeper understanding the short manual lacks some information (here i would like to point to motifator.com to get more infos) if the manual was be a little more in depth then i would have given it a 10

SOUNDS

The sounds are great, especially the pianos and some of the leads and pads, it lacks in brass sounds though. it does have quite an amount of sounds (not as many as the rack ES) and i didn't have enough time to browse through all of them on the first night i had this device

OVERALL OPINION

I haven't had any troubles yet

this device was my first rompler and you know how it is with the first love.. you'll never forget it.. i might have to betray it with the motif rack ES though ;)
