USB MIDI Interface 1 input - 1 output generic (thus recognized without drivers to install) that comes in a single cable.
UTILIZATION
Nothing could be easier. Is connected and it works. Plug and play. From Windows XP SP2 and Macintosh OS X v10.3.9, this MIDI interface is recognized without driver installation. Indeed, these operating systems and later versions include a generic MIDI driver. Since it's generic, it should also work with Linux (Ubuntu and derivatives). I tried with the player Kamid and it works! Finally MIDI on Linux, it's party time!

Just a trick Windows XP SP2: the generic driver is called "USB Audio Device". Not to be confused: this is indeed a MIDI interface and not a USB sound card ^ ^
GETTING STARTED

For this to work under Linux, so you have an interface that is capable of running Windows XP SP2 without installing driver manufacturer. Same goes for sound cards (at least the USB). This is also the case of Cakewalk UM-2G, which has two inputs - outputs MIDI ^ ^
This means that Linux, if you need a MIDI interface multi input - output, just get more of these generic interfaces (brand and / or different models for each one, preferably), the number that is needed and it should work ^ ^
