Level effects, delay, reverb, slicer, decimator, filters, Pitchshifter and combos of several effects.
Effects in non-editable presets though the editing is done live via the touchpad.

The sampling is already excellent, go to Resampling to save the added effects live is totally enjoyable.

Microphone input and line input with the switch convenient to move from one source to another.

The editor for PC / Mac is fucked up and allows the import and export of both the sounds of machine settings. Export the audio to wav or aiff

Small flat on driver usb / midi on windows XP.
By installing the driver, no communication with the editor or with your favorite music program [super MIDI sync].
Solution: Do not install the driver and let windows recognize the machine.
Result: you can export the sound in the computer but not vice versa, is through the SD card to load what you want.
We can now synchronize the clock of any program with KP3 noon.

Windows 7 not worry, the KP3 is well recognized and the editor works perfectly, like for use with a program via USB.

Through the MIDI directly avoids this concern for external sync.

The gear SOLID, bought second hand, the pad was slightly décalibré.
A lil pass and hop on AudioFanzine recalibration quiet time at all.

Touchpad very well, no need to press it like a slave ... gently caress your kaosspad it will reward you well.

UTILIZATION

Purchased in the morning, getting started immediately, half an hour later I had the smile of the Joker!
The same evening it was working with a live microphone connected to record voice [tablecloths and beatbox] and flute.
What happiness

Reading the instructions not to be missed to further the use of resampling in the time of release of the effect when you release the touchpad, configuration noon if you want to use as a controller, etc..

I use it at home and especially live.
Connected to a track in Ableton Live and redirected to a vst to record sounds to other tracks and then tweaking them live.

Ok you can not use an effect at a time but the resampling opens.
Record sound on one of the four banks [abcd], apply effects and save the modified sound resampling, repeat as desired.

SOUND QUALITY

Quality sound convincing.
And total volume of each track through the pad [super simple]
Some effects are very, very well thought out.
8 buttons available for our favorite effects at your fingertips.

Slicer, grain effect vinyl, LFO filters.

There is plenty to do.

I like a little more special, we can record the movements on the touchpad.
Then save the settings in the machine and hop when you load the purpose assigned to one of eight buttons, you can restart the automation of touchpad and even replay it in reverse.
If you use a synth you are embedded with a fifth virtual track

OVERALL OPINION

Bought there 3 weeks.

I tried the Kaossilator pro with a friend.
Having a lot of synths and what to do sound, I turned instead to the kaosspad 3.

Strong, effective and intuitive.

Special I like least?
For people under windows xp, light problem with the usb driver.
Note that there are regular updates on the site of korg

Value, at € 225 I am delighted to have saved € 125 compared to the nine current prices.
State impeccable. I suspect the previous owner to have been blazed by the décalibrage pad, good for me it is like new after re setting it.

I better understand people like Beardyman who board or other more KP3 Kaossilator and live. no PC required on stage.

I would do this choice with his eyes closed, having a second would be envisaged.
