Sennheiser HD7 DJ

I use it for less than a week, but already at least fifty hours of listening.
I've owned a lot of headphones, different type (audio-technica M40FS, beyerdynamics one custom pro, sennheiser hd 598, hd 25, audio technica M50, and other small audio-technica supra lower range models) and tried a lot of models (Pioneer HDJ2000, srh750/srh840 shure, akg K167, Grado SR80i and so on).
I love the precision of his on HD7 sennheiser, the emphasis on bass without rush the rest of the spectrum, the dynamics.
I do not like the "crystalline" treble side (but then it is subjective, I like the treble a softer hair, as mentioned above - others will appreciate).
On the value, I find it very good, even excellent, because at this price (paid 228 euros), I have not heard better than this dj headphones.
I would do this choice without hesitation, even if I step back on the strength in time (but very little doubt on this point, it's tough) - Notice to update in a year or two

Use sound and secondarily at home.
Listen to all types of music.
Very comfortable on short period (1h), over longer periods, ears warm, and headphone proves tiring listening.
Ergonomics is still excellent (even with glasses, no worries). The headset fits comfortably on the head, without a sense of vise is felt.
Joints are perfect, with a system of "click", allowing moultes opportunities in the positioning of these.
The "shell" of protection is extremely durable, storage there is no worries. The entire "package" of (headphone - thankfully), 2 cables, Replacement pads.
Having tried both types of pads, they are very comfortable and it is hard to give advantage to one over the other.

The headphone exudes strength, we see immediately that is made to last.
The finishes are excellent, pleasant bow to port (it does not weigh on the head), the headset is very light despite its weight.
With 2 detachable cables (right and a spiral of very good quality), it is very convenient to connect them to the right or left atrium.
According to taste, it will be possible to put pads in velvet or leatherette there.
headphone "includes" good ear, but not a huge size.

Clearly, this headset is not neutral and is rather quite Basseux.
Listening are nonetheless very pleasant, and despite impressive bass information, the rest of the spectrum is not deleted either.
The highs are clear and crystalline (although I have a preference for treble a little softer).
Mediums are - despite a dip in this region of the spectrum on the net - although this, the hollow is not really audible to the ear.
The sound is punchy, dynamic wish, do not expect to relax with this headset ...
Clearly oriented electronic music, hip hop, pop, it is not left on other styles such as jazz, but will inevitably be caught out on the classic ... this is not what is asked.
Having had quite a headphone "DJ" (see below), these headphones not revolutionize the genre wrong with the sound, I appreciate the care given to the accuracy and quality of sound.
Isolation headset is very effective, with a little sound in the ears, you not hear the music flowing through the speakers.
Conversely, people goshawks do not hear what I hear, even a rather high volume.
Concerning the power of the headphone, it sends heavy! You can push the volume beyond reason, whether on a "phone or walkman" type device, or even on a table (there where you approach rarely more than 50/60% of the volume of your table.)
