Hohner HW-220
Published on 02/21/04 at 15:00I bought this guitar in a music mart for 107 dollars. I wanted this guitar because i own a claical and i was tired of that dull sound a classical gives you so i bought this hohner.
this hohner is great for guitar to bring around and play for your enjoyment i didnt see any thing wrong with its structure and it very durable
nothing
the construction of the guitar was great i dont get any buzzing sounds or any thing and its plenty loud
This is a great guitar for advanced players and begginers but this is a good guitar if you want to bring it around and play it for your enjoyment if you planning to play it in a show i suggest something else

Published on 12/31/03 at 15:00I bought this guitar from Music Mac at a shopping center a little far from my home. I had seen some commercials for that store and they had a very good selection of instruments. It costed about 150 dollars.
This acoustic guitar puts out a nice full sound. It is kind of big for me, but I felt that if you start out a little hard, then you can play any size after that. The neck is not at wide as other guitars I have played, it helps you so you don't have to reach your fingers so far. Yes, it's also good for beginners and good price.

It does get kind of cumbersome after a while. When I play it, it leaves a line on my leg where it was resting. The string size that came with it was not the most thin, but that's good in a way and may help to give better tone.
The quality of this unit is very good, to me. I have bumped it on various areas. For example: while playing outside sitting on the cement, the bottom of the guitar had hit the ground a few times since it is pretty big. When I checked it, there wasn't noticable damage. It is pretty sturdy.
I like my guitar, and I think that it was a good buy.

Published on 12/20/02 at 15:00Went looking for my first guitar at a Rochester, NY area guitar shop (Stutzman's Guitars), and bought this one at the salesman's suggestion for $100. That's less than half what I had expected to spend that night.
This guitar is everything I need in a first guitar. The action is low and it's pretty easy to tune and play. It stays in tune pretty well, too. It seems durable. The few times that I've knocked it around hasn't left even the smallest blemish. They say that solid tops are louder but this one, with its laminated top, puts out plenty of sound.
I can't think of anything I don't like, but being a beginner, I really can't say I'd know what to look for.

I find no flaws in the construction. All the joints are tight, the finish is good, and I'm happy with everything.
This seems to be a great guitar for someone like me who wants to see if they really want to learn to play. I have no hesitation is saying this guitar delivers far more than its low price tag suggests. At some point, I'll probably buy something better, but this one is the one I'll take with me out to sing around the campfire!
