Published on 11/04/13 at 04:52Beautiful acoustic guitar copy of Gibson Dove / hummingbird and manufactured in Japan KOBE, Rokkomann is a registered 70s (the type of Morris, Suzuki, Ibanez, Hondo, Yamaki, Eagle, Aria, Tama, Ryan, etc.) disappeared in the early 80s following an earthquake in the region.
It is difficult to date these guitars, the serial number is stamped on the heel can be seen through the rose. It has the first 6 digits duo could be the year.
Overall the violin is very clean, nets and bindings are very well done, the whole pickguard and bridge is very attractive and does not quincaille as the Epiphone replicas. The head is open book painted black, characteristic of Mark Gibson, the keys are in an oil bath and good quality.
A sticker Made in Japan is present behind the head which is common for all the above brands.
The woods are a mistère of maple certainly for table / background / fishplates and mahogany / rosewood handle. It is possible that the table is massive but it must depend on the models.
UTILIZATION
Very fun to play with fine frets and flat button round the handle is also quite close, very nice smooth varnish. This is a very well balanced dreadnought.
SOUNDS
Finger picking and pick the sound is characteristic of the Dove not very boomy with clear and acute nervous.
OVERALL OPINION
Very good little guitar vintage and very pretty in the first beginner guitar or second everyone will find happiness.
