« Seagull S6+ Burst GT »
Published on 07/26/04 at 15:00I had been out of guitar playing for many years, 15 to be exact, when I decided it was time to start playing again. I was originally looking to buy a Fender or Guild. Lots has changed in the guitar world since I last looked at guitars. I went into a shop to see what they had. The salesman steered me toward the Seagull after listening to me play a little. I love the sound.
This guitar is easy to tune and stays in tune as well. Not much touch-up is needed if any at all once it is tuned. I like the sound. Very rich especially when you put new strings on.
I did not like the wide neck at first but I have gotten used to it now. On the plus side, it made my 12 string purchase easy to play right off.
To my eye it is well constructed. It is a nice looking guitar.
I like this guitar so much that I went shopping for a Seagull 12 string. The sound, the easy tuning, and the ability to maintain tune are strong attributes I like. I hate to say it but, I could not find a Seagull 12 string anywhere......it is on my list.
