« Seagull S6+ Spruce »
Published on 07/24/04 at 15:00I bought my Seagull S6+ Spruce at a local shop in Southern Utah. It was on sale, and I got it for about $350 (listed at $375-$425). I had heard that it was a good guitar, and I was looking for one, since I had just been using my dad's old one, which wasn't too good. So between the sale and recommendations from both the merchant and my teacher, I decided to buy it.
Beautiful sound gets better with age, much easier to tune than guitars in the same price range, full sound. Basically: I love it.
No significant problems. But there are no third and ninth fret marks and it's a little wide in the neck. After playing more, I would prefer a cedar top, but that's a personal preferance issue.
I've heard they hold up well, and mine is in great condition, but I baby it. One problem is the softness of the top.
great guitar, great line, great manufacturer: buy it!
