I just installed the AQUARIAN Performance II to replace EVANS G1 that lets too many harmonics on my toms not subdued. The pinstripe on my floor tom is less effective than the aquarian and I had to add a small strip of tissue.
Indeed, a good resonant is recommended. I think we can play many styles (the sound is well rounded but still nice) but overall is very dull and almost without gloss.
I found the price equivalent to other double skin (evans, remo ...)
I am very satisfied with these skins, which provide a crisp, round without asking the drummer to watch his barrels.
