I use these rods for about two years and I think I found the pair I wanted.
positive: the oak is a rod strong enough
its diameter is very interresting for slightly less than the classic 5a Vic Firth at home for example.
Its light weight is also nice.
downside: the strength of olives tend to deteriorate quickly and from pieces!
the 214 S and P 214 is on the same defect.
There are 214 N with the olive nylon I've ever tried but which are certainly better.
For the price these rods are excellent in my opinion, after playing with Vic Firth A.classic pdt about 5 years I prefer the Tama.
