I use it for 1 year, I've tried a few batteries before, including Pearl Session, Forum, Export.
Gretsch Catalina etc. ... but lack of money, I had to fall back on the BlackHawk.

What I like: A powerful bass drum, tom 12 "which will ring and a 16" nice, very good hardware for the price and drumkit!

What I like least: A snare-bof bof, tom 13 "almost useless.

This is a drumkit input range of Gretsch, thus forcing the skins are not good ... (see previous review.)
The quality of work is still, for my part, pretty good, no worries or other off, screws etc. all present.
However, little surprise, a double braced hardware to high performance I've even kept!
The price / quality ratio is disappointing now, because for about 100 euros more, you see a Catalina Maple Ash (they have lowered enough), which are much more interesting than the Blackhawk.

With the experience I do not do it again this choice because it is a starting drumkit.

This does still not that's a nice little drumkit, of course it does not climb peaks with the same product is rather disappointing from Gretsch, which is a mark of prestige.
