I'll give you my opinion here on my Tama Starclassic Bubinga Elite
my model has a Black finish w. Gold Inlay ... and black chrome hardware
First and foremost, a little background of my choice is needed, feel free to skip this part
I was looking for a new drumkit, to switch to a model pro
With any luck, I was able to access the music fair in Frankfurt in April 2011, and that during the week (VIP pass)
So I tried just about everything I came to hand, from DW to Sonor, to Pearl, Gretsch and other big names
And there, at the Tama booth, love at first sight!
This kit has convinced me from the first small trials ... I am allowed a longer playing time, and my choice was then confirmed
I did not hesitate long, and got hold of this exposure model (which allows, among other bargain cheaply)
3 months have now passed, and I must say, this drumkit is a marvel:
bubinga has a deep sound, rich in the bass, treble with good attendance, and a volume just awesome
I allowed myself to let the original skins, sounding not too bad I must say, the sound of the drum is much emphasized
toms of the game doing well overall, the bass drum has a wonderful punch, and the quality is just outstanding
finishes are perfect, like the Star Cast niquel, the Die Cast Hoops consistently give the barrel and almost never do go out of tune ... Briefly, the foot!
I coupled mine with a snare Tama Warlord Masai, and I must say that the rendering is just great, no complaints
In conclusion, this drumkit is just a dream
the sound is perfect, I suggest for those who want to get out of maple, and in sharp contrast to the latter, without leaving aside its strengths
dampen the price probably many of you, but tell you, this drumkit is just the best! great sound, with high-end finishes Tama ... what more?
I recommend it to all those who want to spend on the pro stuff, and who seek a pure, crystalline, but send!
