Yamaha Beech Custom
Published on 07/11/04 at 15:00I PURCHASED THE YAMAHA BEECH CUSTOM IN 2002 FROM INTERSTATE MUSIC AND I PAID SOME WHERE AROUND $2850 TO $3000. IT WAS A CUSTOM ORDER AND CONSISTS OF: 8"10"12"13"14"15" RACK TOMS A 22"X 18" KICK DRUM (WHICH SOUNDS LIKE THUNDER)AND 14"X 6 1/2" SNARE DRUM. I ALSO PURCHASED ALL THE TOM MOUNTS THAT ALL MOUNTS TO AN GIBRALTER 3/4 CIRCLE RACK SYSTEM.
THE DRUMS HAVE EXCELLENT TONE AND SOUND, THE HARDWARE IS VERY SOLID AND STABLE, THEY SOUND GREAT IN THE RECORDING STUDIO OR LIVE ON STAGE,THE DRUM SHELL STAIN WOOD FINISH IS BEAUTIFUL, THEY HAVE THE TONE OF A MAPLE SHELL AND THE ATTACK OF A BIRCH SHELL, THEY ARE MADE FROM 100% BEECH WOOD, THE ARE EASY TO TUNE AND STAY IN TUNE. (THEY SOUND THE BEST USING REMO PIN STRIPE DRUM HEADS)AND THE MONEY VALUE IN COMPARISON WITH OTHER PRO-LINE DRUM KITS.
HMMMMM....NOTHING.
THE SHELLS ARE MADE FROM 100% BEECH WOOD, THE CONSTRUCTION IS EXTREEMLY SOLID. THE QUALITY IS EXCELLENT AND ON A PROFESSIONAL LEVEL.
PROBABLY THE BEST VALUE FOR YOUR MONEY, IT'S WORTH CHECKING OUT IF YOU ARE LOOKING FOR A PROFESSIONAL LEVEL DRUM KIT, I HAVE BEEN PLAYING ON A PROFESSIONAL LEVEL FOR 20 YEARS AND HAVE OWNED MANY OTHER DRUM KIT'S BUT THIS IS BY FAR THE BEST IN SOUND QUALITY, CONSTRUCTION, HARDWARE, APPERANCE AND VALUE FOR YOUR MONEY IN COMPARION TO OTHER PRO LEVEL DRUM KIT'S.

Hello. Sonor before playing, I was a Beech, the first series: this is terrible. it sounds really between birch and maple. It is easy to adjust and fittings are of high quality. The suspension system of the toms is excellent (much better than on my Sonor Lite, which is true, twenty years). My config was wide: 8 10 12 13 16 and 22. The 13 relaxed going well tom. The supports 8 to be quite relaxed and still the best "8" that I played.
Looking into, but good luck because it is rare.
Absolute model does not revolutionary, just a new product for future pigeons who want to absolutely new! That said, it sounds good. …

Within 12 13 16 22. Trs good sound, deep but not long prcis reasoning and, even with an approximate rglage rang. I replace it because we need a drumkit electronic (we rock and electro kits are needed synthetic), but I would very careful if I sub!
If I have to buy one later, it will be the same (red preferences).

How long have you use it?
I do not possde this drumkit but I get to use it in the studio every Saturday since late 2004.
What is the particular feature you like best and least?
Yamaha Beech Custom possde do little default (and not sr adpend if you have gots to toilets at the color.) But I can cite the fragility nanmoins Systm of mounting toms on the bass drum (prfrez mount the toms on cymbal stands or a rack) and difficulty tuning.
Particulirement I love the sound of the bass drum. Enormment trs attack and few harmonics (IDAL for a sound studio). Nothing for a thunderous 20-inch bass drum, and I think if I possdais one, I would certainly not 22. "

The drumkit carefully as team skins transparent two-layer (equivalent to a sub-Remo Emperor Remo brand whose name I screed), we can not qu'apprcier across the (sr not there so much diffrence with equivalents from other brands ... am by the way.)
Toms are no less convincing: with clarity and projection are the keywords.
We can even blame them for everything from a lack of power (and yes, it is not birch ...)
Have you tried many other models before acqurir?
It is not me ... lol
How do you report qualitprix?
Quite reasonable for a drumkit that level. Mainly due to the birch and the Saddle (have you on the beech: p)
Exprience with, you will do again this choice?
No problem, I have the opportunity to use drumkit in my local diffrent, including a Gretsch Catalina Jazz and DW sympatoche enough but I prfre the Beech above all.
