The Samson SX12000 is a stereo powered amplifier that gives much needed power with minimal distortion to your speakers. This amp is great for live and studio sound, it will give your audio a bigger feel and wider stereo sound easily with no effort at all. This is one of those units that all you have to do is hook it up and let it do the work for you. The price is affordable and is cheaper than a lot of other units that I have used with similar specs in the past. It works off of 450 watts per side at 4 ohms, 300 watts per side at 8 ohms, and 900 watts at 8 ohms in bridged mono. All we did was rack this up (2 rack spaces) and dial up the settings and mode; that was it!
Using this with a smaller to midsized PA system is where you will notice it working the best. It will deliver a crisp and clear sound without bringing any distortion, plus it made our sound much wider. It was like a stereo field enhancer for us because at the time we were using a cheaper set of PA speakers, but after using the SX12000 with them you could not tell they where a cheaper set of PA speakers anymore. I really recommend using this and letting it crank up the power of your speakers.
All of the SX series of amps from Samson have been really good for us. I have personally used a few of them and each time they shock me with what they can do with your sound. Some of them can get pretty expensive though and that is the only issue that I have found but that is pretty much always the case with Samson products. They will make you pay for the great quality they provide, but I am just fine with that. Quality is always a must have for me!
