OVERALL OPINION

j have 2 now for about nine months more than a hundred concerts. But first tried before buying. I use almost exclusively for guitar amps live. In different styles of music Rock, punk, hardcore, metal but softer Pop ... I ve also sm57, e906, md409, md 441, md 421, blue ball etc. ... I ve already tried overhead battery for Live jazz band and a group of experimental pop Underhead. Since d love to have two more. Tried once on a Trombone.
This mic is quite large and heavy, but the clamp that is provided is very good so this side is no problem. No either mounted on a foot or a Z Bar problem. C is well thought out and solid metal body can work on stage without fear of breaking it.

The sound is amazing: I finally found the microphone for guitar amps. down very accurate, up soft enough without being soft, a bit like a ribbon. The sound of the amp is very well reproduced. He collects high levels without distortion. a very good rear rejection, which is useful on noisy scenes. cardio is fairly open allowing easier placement.
for battery overhead / Underhead a great sound. less of a problem with capacitors that small membranes live use. And a very good sound quality.
good set á share price that may seem excessive at first First, there is nothing negative in this micro.
The investment is well worth it.
It will become a classic like the MD441.
Anyway, I am very very happy with this microphone.

I used 2 weeks and REU (import of the United States). He prcises low trs, but held Submitted (perfect in front of the V30), the spectrum is set by plutt equilibrated EXAGRES not a peak in the high-mids that is perfect for the guitar, there is no cooking like "fizzzzzz" as the SM57 in the treble, sounded more natural and smooth. But it is much more open in the treble that Sennheiser E609. The grain is very well transcribed and mug of good potato unlike a 414 amp or even a Royer too smooth (even if trs Fidler). </div>

after having used tons of mics for guitars, 509, 609, 906, M88, 414, RE 20, SM 57, Beta 57, M25 ....... I always had trouble finding a microphone that does not distort what I heard before the cabinet ... and arrived on PR30 and my life has changed this microphone is a wonder, he is able to collect sounds very very strong and without twisting its response curve and interesting particulirement on guitars. cit again as above placement is not essential for sound (going to worry the 57 I want to talk to you). and it looks worse in black is really coolll on stage. regarding its price ... the bin is also the slap $ 249 in USA

The Heil Sound PR30 is a uniquely designed dynamic microphone, in what looks like the casing of a condenser microphone.<span> </span>I’m not 100% sure exactly what the technology is inside of the mic, but it is some sort of a modified version of a dynamic mic as far as I know.<span> </span>The mic does have a standard cardioid pick up pattern, but doesn’t have any features in terms of a pad or a high pass filter or anything like that.<span> </span>I’ve only got experience with the PR30 in the recording studio, but the microphone is designed for both use in the studio as well as for broadcast and voice over applications.

From what I assume is because of the unique design, the Heil Sound PR30 does sound a bit differently than a standard dynamic mic, as it has a cleaner sound quality than what I would expect from a traditional dynamic microphone.<span> </span>I’ve only used the mic for recording vocals, which from what I have been told is the best application for the mic.<span> </span>While I don’t have anything to compare it to, I definitely got a clean and accurate sound from the PR30 when I used it.<span> </span>I would imagine that the mic does have a bit of versatility, as to me a clean sounding mic is in general a clean sounding microphone.<span> </span>The price of the Heil Sound PR30 is certainly the main attraction here, as it is most likely in the price range for anyone looking for a microphone.<span> </span>I’d encourage those interested in the Heil Sound PR30 to try it out before hand to see if it is for you, but it is certainly a microphone worth checking out if you’re in the market for a very good sounding dynamic microphone that isn’t exactly in a traditional form…
