Scale 30.3 "24 frets
neck: Maple (maple)
fingerboard: rosewood (rosewood)
Body: Basswood (with maple veneer on some models)
Seymour Duncan SMD4
control: volume, tone switch (windings / / or in series)
Color: Blue Pearl, Black Pearl, Purple Metallic, Black Cherry, Amber Burst and Purple Burst
UTILIZATION
Ampeg in 1999 proposed a line of guitars and basses with a wooden body, based on the famous guitar plexiglass "Ampeg Dan Armstrong". They have abandoned production in 2001. It is a low 'short scale', the fastening system of the handle allows access to the last fret. It is equipped with a MusicMan humbucker style that one can choose wired in series or in parallel with a switch. The bridge mass to choose to mount the strings through the body or not for more sustain.
SOUNDS
Difficult to describe the sound, especially since I have not found the sound I wanted ...
its a bit too "modern" for my taste
OVERALL OPINION
Very nice instrument
