Published on 01/27/13 at 01:39It is a series of handmade precision (handmade in Japan).
The body is 2 piece alder with a beautiful painted candy red (top lacquer).
The maple neck with rosewood fingerboard varnish has a width of 41.3 mm at the nut.
The bridge is vintage type striatum (better than the piece of metal used in fender).
The tuners are Gotoh gb2 very effective.
The microphone is a precision type hmc jb-in alv alnico 5 handmade in Japan.
UTILIZATION
Its weight is about 4.3 kg. It is a little heavier than my old precision ranged between 3.7 kg and 4kg.
The neck is fairly flat, compared to a 57 reissue is very nice with a great shrinking.
I have set the action to 1.5 mm.
The tone knob is very accurate.
SOUNDS
The microphone is a high accuracy (errors attention to games).
After several hours of play at the beginning and having found it lacked bass, I find today, really excellent. on the other hand, have nothing to do my old pb57 or PB62.
This is a pretty versatile microphone with a grain very rock.
Slap it works wonders even if it is not his "vocation".
OVERALL OPINION
The materials used and the finishes are custom shop level.
The micro handmade is really very precise and effective. Just a little less bass than the fender 57 and 62.
I remake that choice without hesitation.
