«  Excellent value for money »

Value For Money : Excellent
made in Korea from what I know .. quality control in Switzerland
JazzBass typical: 20 frets, 2 alnico pickups simple JS-1, active electronics BMB-1 in push-pul, 3potards master, balance and tone control. Levinson Bridge, rosewood fingerboard, maple neck and alder body, pearly plate.

Excellent finishes, nothing to throw away.

UTILIZATION

I had the opportunity to play with Fender Jazz bass that were worth 2 or 3 times its price, which did not arrive at the ankle!
The maple neck is simply excellent: the key is a real highway! What fun to play! we leave harmonics a jiffy, the highs are accessible round very very fast!

The alder body is indeed quite heavy (its only flaw in my opinion), but offers very rich harmonics, besides being beautiful in finishes: pearl style plate, aluminum knobs of the most beautiful effect, and mechanical bridge extremely well finite series dépasse. On not told me that Levinson was a great luthier, I confirm that price level is simply excellent.

SOUNDS

THE SOUND IS TO FALL ... what a wealth of harmonics, what presence, what finesse! Fender go get dressed! and I'm not kidding, try, compare and see ... but it is true that we have a harder time finding a Blade Tetra Standard JazzBass a Fender classic, then you ... keep rolling! (I'm going to make enemies ...)

electronics BMB1 force is first quality and offers a wide range of sounds: the boost in the midrange is impressive! We can do everything on this bass: the slap in the marcus Miller through more advanced tips / jazzy, or why not the big rock that spot: it ensures outright, and its huge presence, all zicos with whom I ' I'm agree easily ... and I play in two formations, a jazz trio and a group of stoner rock. No problems in time for the moment ...

the knobs (tone and balance) offer expansive opportunities, the boost in active mode on the midrange is very consistent, and yet there is a screw behind the back plate that allows the preamp boost even more (read the doc, but not tested: the original setting is more than enough if you have an amp correct)

I play on Hartke, Roland Micro Cube and markbass and she is doing very well: very versatile ... I prefer less the microphone stand (anyway I never really liked) but the other positions offer a very wide range of sounds, although péchus

OVERALL OPINION

I play on it for two months continuously. .. I tried Fender JB 2000 euro and I said, they were not worth that one (inevitably subjective opinion but ... I stand!)

I am satisfied with this bass it? yes I am madly
advise another bassist? without hesitation, if it's a bass player who wants to "strike" his instrument, to have a real sound, develop creativity, so he can go there with your eyes closed if .. Fender that he likes the look of course (and the weight is not a daunting obstacle)
value for money? 1000 times yes yes (see my comment on the fender above ... say that there are some who pay 3 times more for less ..)

After years playing on 5 string I wanted something that sounds, played at home, with potato, in order to get back to 4 strings and send the heavy as well as the end ^ ^. I play a long time, I know the technique, but recently I'm looking for "my" sound, something that has personality, that makes me want to play and who characterizes me .. let's say I gave up my career matured and wholesale nag metalheads for something finer (not soft huh, I said end ^ ^). I was fortunate to come across this bass almost by accident, I had already played with a guitarist who had a Blade guitar and was impressed by the quality, the sound ... at first, I walked rather to a Squier JazzBass (the model for 369 euro, very nice indeed ...) but I stumbled on it ... meanwhile fell in love ^ ^. I was even more able to take pot my old Cort to buy it! I do not regret ... if you find one go for it (they are quite rare)!
