Already this is not a jazz bass neck: 21 cases, very flat and 42mm at the nut. There may have been several series because mine is different from the picture, no marks on the neck except for a small logo in the middle.

UTILIZATION

The handle is a disaster, the frets badly machined and the cutting edge, the tuss rod ineffective (although he screwed up but no effect) so inréglable. The tuners are really junk, impossible to adjust without getting upset ...

The body is better finished, real wood (board meeting in five parts) and rather good-looking. I do not put zero because the bass can be used for decoration.

SOUNDS

Oddly, the sound is not bad, deep, with lots of bass and treble that look good. I think the pickups and electronics are quite good. I must say that I had installed new ropes (Fender 7250ML) for testing, it helps.

OVERALL OPINION

I used one hour at all before dismantling to recover the bridge and pickups. It is a base for a handyman who loves woodworking, not to play bass.

UTILIZATION

The handle slides well, access to the last fret is done without too much concern although I do not recent FREQUENTLY need to stoop so low.
Ergonomics standard is correct even if I find it rather heavy in the long run.
The sound is decent for the price.
Obviously it's still a low-end bass passive and difficult to compete with models 3 to 4 times as much.

SOUNDS

Sounds well stick with my style pop-rock that sometimes turn to punk / metal ...
I use it with an Ibanez 20W amp at home (for the relief of neighbors) and a peavey amp with 300w of repetition. Here we see that the amp is a very big part of the job, the 20w it sounds ok but nothing on the 300w ca tears. ^ ^
Evidence that this low has qualities that are waiting to be exploited by a good amp.
I found some disturbing vibrations in the beginning when I played but it has disappeared over time.

OVERALL OPINION

I use this bass for almost 3 months, an entry of very good value for money. Its attractive price makes it possible to invest in a good amp that will give more color and reveal its potential.
Ideal for a beginner.
I have not tried a lot of bass before buying it, my budget being reduced I did not want to hurt me by testing low-priced.

A choice I think I would do the same purchase, but if you have the means to gently push the budget take an Ibanez GSR-200 BK, active, but more expensive.
This is still a very good buy at entry level.

EDIT: after 5 months of loyal service I went to step up ... Ranqueur but without regret. It was, for its price and to begin, an excellent bass anywhere.

SOUNDS

I touched a little at any level musical style (punk, metal, pop, blues, Funk), and not much to say, it fits well and is versatile.
As for the cons slap it remains average to draw a nice sound (I still have the technique to improve too)



OVERALL OPINION

I used it for almost a year to save time to spend on an Ibanez EDB 700 (top!)
Not have to complain about it, she provides on the amps again in the midst of other instrumentals, but the change was felt when I then went on Ibanez anyway.

Ideal for beginners, with an excellent price / performance ratio for my taste, time to have a technical background sufficient to go to the range of price-dessus.Elle remains a good low base!
