Best value: Excellent
I had the opportunity to try this instrument extensively, taking my time. The amplifiers used were a Fender bassman 100 (combo with 10 hp) and one of Ashdown Evo 300 4x10 cabinet Hartke.

Large size: 1 / 4 body and handle 34''(long scale). A single microphone, but a low impedance humbucker. There is an impedance switch that adjusts the output level and accuracy of sound. Set neck.

A beautiful instrument, a replica "low cost" of the equivalent Gibson. Note 8 / 10 recognizes the poor finishing of the handle on the model I tried (fittings varnish / paint coarse).

UTILIZATION

The handle is flat, rather thin and easy to play. Access to acute is easy (the form is "double cutaway"). It is perhaps not ideal for low-slapper, but it happens anyway. The body is light and not too thick in spite of the hollow body (1 / 4 basis).

Sound: amazing. The set neck, the hollow body and the microphone combine to provide a very precise and warm with a sustain important. With the lowest impedance is obtained her incisive and precise, but lacks a bit of fishing. With the maximum impedance, it becomes a bit messy but very heavy snoring. Perhaps to play Motorhead? With an overdrive at the end, you can play metal or punk with no problem. But the most interesting setting is the middle: it's warm, clear, with a long sustain. The sound evokes the pop and rock recordings of the late 60s and early 70s (the sound of Gainsbourg's bassist at the same time too.

SOUNDS

So sounds interesting for a type of low-rare.

OVERALL OPINION

Excellent value for money to me for fans of his "vintage".
